Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at Team Geek Solutions, your role will involve developing and implementing data models to extract insights and support business decisions. You will utilize Snowflake for managing and optimizing data storage and retrieval processes. Analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies will be a key responsibility. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand their data-related needs and creating data visualizations to effectively communicate findings are also part of your tasks. Conducting statistical analysis and predictive modeling using Python, designing and executing ETL processes, and maintaining documentation of data workflows and analyses for transparency are important aspects of the role. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior data team members and staying current with industry trends and best practices in data science are also expected. Identifying opportunities for process improvements in data management, creating reports for stakeholders based on data analysis, implementing machine learning algorithms, and working with data engineers to build and maintain data pipelines will be your responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with data governance and security policies is essential. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. - 5+ years of experience in data science or related roles. - Expertise in Snowflake and its functionalities. - Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation. - Experience with Python for data analysis and modeling. - Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques and libraries. - Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Familiarity with ETL tools and processes. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. - Knowledge of statistical methods and tools. - Experience with cloud data warehousing solutions. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. - Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning. - Understanding of data governance and compliance issues.
