Job Description

You will be working for one of ANSR's clients, Illumina, a renowned developer, manufacturer, and marketer of life science tools and integrated systems dedicated to making genomics useful for all. Illumina's integrated Indian global hub in Bengaluru, Illumina India Biotechnology Private Limited, focuses on technology activities that drive innovation in healthcare and medical research to shape the future of personalized medicine and health care. As a Data Scientist at Illumina, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams of scientists, engineers, and bioinformaticians to analyze complex biological data, develop advanced models, and deliver actionable insights. Your work will support initiatives across genomics, clinical applications, and product development, contributing to Illumina's research, development, and commercial objectives. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and implementing statistical models and machine learning algorithms, partnering with internal teams to define project goals, applying data mining techniques, evaluating model performance, collaborating with software engineers for deployment, communicating findings to stakeholders, staying updated with data science trends, and contributing to publications and dissemination of results. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or Ph.D. is preferred. You should have experience working with large datasets, proficiency in programming languages like Python, R, or Julia, familiarity with cloud computing platforms and data warehousing solutions, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field, hands-on experience with genomic data analysis, contribution to open-source projects, experience in regulated environments, and a background in healthcare, life sciences, or biotechnology industry. Key skills and competencies for this role include a strong foundation in statistics and experimental design, expertise in machine learning techniques, ability to work in regulated environments, proficiency in data cleaning and preprocessing, collaborative work approach, and innovative thinking to apply data science solutions to real-world challenges. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent work experience.,
