We are seeking a seasoned Lead Data Scientist with specialized expertise in Media Mix Modeling (MMM) to lead our efforts in optimizing marketing performance and providing strategic insights. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of advanced statistical techniques, media modeling, and data-driven decision-making, while also mentoring junior team members and driving innovation within the analytics team.
Role & responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of advanced Media Mix Models to inform and optimize marketing spend across multiple channels (e.g., TV, digital, print, radio).
- Design and execute complex statistical analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and optimize resource allocation.
- Provide thought leadership in marketing analytics, guiding the business in leveraging data for optimal decision-making.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and business leaders to translate business objectives into detailed analytical projects and drive actionable insights.
- Create predictive models to simulate the impact of future marketing activities and provide recommendations for budget allocation and channel optimization.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team.
- Stay ahead of the latest advancements in media mix modeling, marketing analytics, and data science methodologies, integrating new approaches and technologies where applicable.
- Communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, and Marketing teams to ensure efficient data flows and integration of data sources.
- Ensure rigorous data governance, accuracy, and consistency in all modeling and analytical processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance media mix modeling capabilities and scale analytics solutions across the organization.
Preferred candidate profile
- Masters or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of experience in Media Mix Modeling (MMM), marketing analytics, or related fields, with a track record of delivering impactful results.
- Strong expertise in statistical modeling techniques (e.g., regression, time-series, machine learning) and a deep understanding of their application to marketing data.
- Masters or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience in Media Mix Modeling (MMM), marketing analytics, or related fields, with a track record of delivering impactful results.

- Hands-on experience with advanced analytics tools such as Python, R, and SQL, along with proficiency in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Extensive knowledge of marketing data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, social media, CRM) and the ability to work with large, complex datasets.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, work with diverse stakeholders, and drive alignment across business functions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex analytical findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior data scientists/analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
