Data Scientist

As a Data Scientist at our company, you will support our products and leadership by deriving insights from analyzing company data. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize large data sets to identify opportunities for product enhancement and validate the effectiveness of different strategies through modeling. You should possess a strong background in data mining and data analysis techniques, proficient in using various data tools, proficient in building and implementing models, creating algorithms, and running simulations. Your ability to drive business outcomes through data-driven insights is crucial. Additionally, you should be comfortable collaborating with diverse stakeholders and functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for uncovering solutions within extensive data sets and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance business results. To excel in this role, you should have 5-7 years of experience in data manipulation, statistical model development, and hold a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to leverage company data for product creation and business solutions. - Analyzing data from company databases to optimize and enhance product development. - Evaluating the accuracy and efficiency of new data sources and collection methods. - Creating custom data models and algorithms for data analysis. - Using predictive modeling to improve customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting, and other business objectives. - Establishing an A/B testing framework and evaluating model effectiveness. - Coordinating with various teams to implement models and monitor their performance. - Designing processes and tools to assess model performance and data precision. Requirements for this role: - Strong problem-solving abilities focusing on product development. - Proficiency in statistical programming languages (Python, SQL, etc.) for data manipulation and insights extraction. - Experience in working with and developing data architectures. - Familiarity with a range of machine learning techniques and their practical implications. - Understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques with hands-on experience. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams. - Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies. - Experience with distributed data/computing tools such as Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, etc. - Proficiency in visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders using tools like Periscope, Business Objects, D3, ggplot, etc.,
