Job Title: Data Scientist Location: Mumbai, Chennai and Gurgaon (Hyderabad is optional) Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist with 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights from data and building data-driven solutions that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop models, create actionable insights, and drive strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Build, deploy, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning techniques. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and develop data-driven solutions. Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis. Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate the impact of business decisions. Develop and present visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and apply them to solve business challenges. Qualification & Skills: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, or related fields in financial services domain. Knowledge of experience working with classification & regression techniques such as linear & logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, boosting & bagging models, etc. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python with experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch. Proficiency in SAS programming. Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying. Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Desirable Qualifications: Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive, or Hadoop. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
