They are currently looking for a Senior Digital Software Engineer Data Science to lead the creation and deployment of a scalable Data Science program within the organization. Job Details Role: Sr. Digital Software Engineer Data Science Location: Chennai, India Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 5years Notice Period: Immediate joiners preferred Interview Mode: Virtual / Walk-in Salary Range: Up to ?15LPA (Based on skills and current CTC) No. of Positions: 1 Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the company's data science strategy and roadmap. Engage with stakeholders across paper, water, leather, and chemical industries to identify and address business problems using data. Build a portfolio of data science projects, and execute proofs of concept with internal and external partners. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IoT, sensor, and chemical engineering experts. Design models using machine learning and statistical techniques to support real-world applications. Evaluate and deploy Microsoft IoT/Data Science tools including Azure ML, Datalake, IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, CosmosDB, and Power BI. Contribute as an individual contributor while identifying future hiring and partnering opportunities. Key Skills (Technical and Non-Technical) Technical Skills: Expertise in Python, R, MATLAB, SQL, or Scala Familiarity with libraries like Sklearn, XGBoost, GLMNet, ggplot, RShiny, Dplyr Strong experience in ML algorithms: Random Forest, SVM, Neural Networks, Time Series Data querying tools and cloud platforms: Azure ML, IoT Hub, Datalake, Power BI Strong understanding of optimization techniques and statistical modeling Preferred: Master's or PhD in Data Science, Applied Math, Engineering, or similar Experience in specialty chemicals or manufacturing sector Prior experience starting up a data science program Experience in a startup or IoT-driven environment Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder engagement Self-driven and business outcome-oriented Excellent planning and multitasking abilities Passion for continuous learning and upskilling Client Insights & Additional Information This is a strategic, high-impact role with visibility across business units. You will be a key driver in building the company's internal data capabilities. The role blends technical excellence with business acumen and offers exposure to cutting-edge IoT projects.
