Data Science Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Data Science, Generative AI to lead a team of data scientists in building and deploying next-generation AI solutions for medical and legal documents processing, management and creation. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, coaching talent, and driving innovation while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of up to 6 data scientists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• Define the roadmap for generative AI initiatives, in collaboration with product partners, ensuring alignment with company strategy and measurable business outcomes.
• Guide the design, implementation, and deployment of generative AI workflows for document information extraction and document generation use cases.
• Partner with Product, AI/ML Engineering, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for applying generative AI.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Influence product roadmaps by showcasing the business impact of generative AI initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 6+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, with at least 2+ years in a leadership/managerial role.
• Hands-on expertise in generative AI technologies
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency in SQL
• Experience with cloud ML platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data/ML toolchains.
• Proven track record of delivering production-ready AI/ML systems.
• Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
