Data Science Lead

As the Real-time Data Analytics & Data Science Lead in the GPS department at Fidelity, you will play a crucial role in architecting, implementing, and deploying multi-scale data analytics platform solutions. Your responsibilities will include leading, facilitating, and coordinating the execution of the analytics team's technical vision, collaborating with other areas, and providing oversight and governance of analytics and machine learning solutions. Additionally, you will champion advanced analytics and machine learning principles and processes at both domain and enterprise levels. The Raptor Data Analytics Team, part of the newly formed Global Platforms Business, is currently focused on developing a real-time analytics platform called Raptor that supports alerting applications associated with financial crime and other use-cases. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cloud technologies, oversee analytics systems and processes, and mentor high-performing analytics engineering teams. Your experience should include significant leadership experience in analytics application and data science teams, particularly in real-time analytics design and implementation. You should have a deep understanding of real-time processing and asynchronous analytics systems, as well as experience in statistical sequence mining, distributed machine-learning systems design, and distributed domain-driven architecture. From a technical perspective, you should have expertise in enterprise architecture, object-oriented programming, AWS services, REST API design, data mining, sequencing, analytics metrics, and aggregates. Strong programming skills in R and Python are essential, along with experience in designing and building REST APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI. As a successful candidate, you should possess strong teamwork skills, the ability to build and maintain relationships with business stakeholders and technology teams, self-motivation, and strong management capabilities.
