Job Description

Role Overview: As a Data Privacy and Protection Specialist at NTT DATA, you will be a seasoned subject matter expert responsible for supporting the effective implementation and oversight of the Data Privacy and Protection (DPP) program within the organization. Your role will involve working closely with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate controls are in place to support compliance with data protection laws, regulations, industry standards, and company DPP policies. Key Responsibilities: - Support the embedding of company DPP policies, processes, and standards by collaborating with relevant business stakeholders. - Assist in implementing principles of data protection by design in relevant business processes, applications, systems, databases, and services. - Conduct data protection impact assessments to identify and mitigate risks to individuals when their personal data is processed. - Perform third-party information security and privacy assessments to ensure compliance with applicable DPP laws and regulations. - Ensure accurate documentation of the record of processing for all activities and support project managing DPP requirements of new initiatives. - Identify and assess DPP risks in the business and develop strategies to manage or mitigate them. - Assist in responding to data subject requests and personal data breaches in accordance with laws, regulations, and company policies. - Monitor and report on the implementation and effectiveness of DPP controls across the business. - Advise the business on DPP obligations, monitor global data protection laws, and recommend mechanisms for ongoing compliance. - Stay updated on developments in DPP, participate in industry forums, and undergo continual training and development. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Business, or a related field. - Relevant certifications such as CIPP, CIPM, CIPT are preferred. - Additional certifications like CISM, CRISC, CISA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.,
