Data Platform Engineer - India

Location: Remote (India) | Contract: Full-Time, Fixed-Term

About the Role

We’re looking for a Data Platform Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of data at Austell Pharmaceuticals. This role is perfect for someone passionate about designing, developing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure while ensuring data governance and compliance across the business.

What You’ll Do

In this role you will:

• Maintain and optimize existing SSIS-based ETL processes while architecting and deploying a new Azure cloud-based data warehouse.
• Build and scale ETL/ELT pipelines, integrating data from multiple sources, and implement data governance frameworks.
• Monitor and optimize data performance to ensure high availability and accuracy, while collaborating with global teams and stakeholders to enable data-driven decision-making.

What You Bring:

You’ll be successful if you have:

• A Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science/IT (or equivalent STEM field), with 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data warehouse design.
• Hands-on expertise in SSIS and Azure Data Platform components, along with strong SQL abilities.
• Experience in data governance and data modelling (Kimball/Star Schema/Snowflake).
• Excellent communication skills in fluent English.

Advantageous:

• A master’s degree in data engineering / computer science or equivalent.
• Azure Data Engineer Associate certification.
• Experience using Power BI.
