A data modeler is a professional who designs and creates data models for various information systems. Here's a more detailed look at what a data modeler does: Key Responsibilities: Designing Data Structures: Data modelers create logical and physical models that outline how data should be organized within a database or system. Mapping Data Relationships: They define how different data elements relate to each other, ensuring data integrity and consistency. Developing Data Models: They use specialized software tools and techniques to create data models, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and relational models. Collaborating with Stakeholders: They work closely with business analysts, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure the data models meet their requirements. Ensuring Data Quality: Data modelers develop and enforce standards for data naming conventions, data types, and other aspects of data quality. Maintaining and Updating Models: They continuously monitor and update data models to reflect changes in business requirements and data structures.
