Data Modeller

You will be joining Bigfirm as a member of the Data and Analytics team, where your primary focus will be on data modeling. In this role, you will be responsible for employing various tools and techniques to understand, analyze, collect, update, store, and exchange data effectively. Your duties will include defining and implementing data modeling and design standards, tools, best practices, and related development methodologies. Additionally, you will design, review, and maintain data models, as well as perform data analysis activities to capture data requirements and represent them visually in data models. Collaboration with data engineers will be crucial as you work closely with them to create optimal physical data models of datasets. You will also be expected to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to enhance business activities. To excel in this role, you should have a solid foundation in data modeling with at least 4 years of experience in relevant tools such as Erwin Data Modeler, ER studio, Toad, etc. Proficiency in SQL, basic ETL skills, and knowledge of Datawarehouse concepts are essential. Optional skills in data visualization, data quality, and data profiling techniques will be beneficial. To qualify for this position, you must hold a degree in computer science or equivalent with 3 to 7 years of industry experience. Experience in an Agile-based delivery methodology is preferable. Your proactive and self-motivated working style, combined with strong analytical skills, will be key to resolving complex technical problems effectively. Proficiency in software development best practices, excellent debugging and optimization skills, and experience in enterprise-grade solution implementations are required. You should also possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrate proficiency in client management.
