About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our Azure data platform team. The ideal candidate will design, architect, and implement scalable data models primarily using Data Vault 2.0 to enable efficient portfolio and accumulation management.

Key Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models using ERwin Data Modeler.
• Architect and implement Data Vault 2.0–based models for transactional, operational, and analytical workloads.
• Translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data structures.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise data standards, governance rules, and naming conventions.
• Deploy data models on Azure platforms including Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake.
• Integrate models with ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, or equivalent tools.
• Optimize models for performance, scalability, and cloud cost efficiency.
• Maintain documentation: metadata, data lineage, transformation rules, and architectural designs.
• Implement data governance and quality frameworks to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with DevOps for automated model deployment and version control.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical inputs to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in data engineering or data modeling, including hands-on Azure experience.
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake.
• Proven experience in Data Vault 2.0 modeling (certification preferred).
• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools such as ERwin, SQLDBMS, or similar.
• Solid understanding of DBMS principles, ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and BI concepts.
• Experience in insurance or financial services domain.
