#Key Responsibilities
#Data Migration Design & Strategy
Understand legacy and target data models and define mapping requirements
Design end-to-end data migration architecture including data extraction, cleansing, validation, and load mechanisms.
Define migration sequencing, data cut-over strategy, and rollback mechanisms.
#ETL Development
Write and optimize SQL / PL-SQL scripts for extraction, transformation, and validation.
Handle large data transfers ensuring performance and minimal downtime.
#Data Mapping & Validation
Collaborate with business analysts for field-level mappings between source and target systems.
Create validation and reconciliation scripts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Automate data comparison and reconciliation reports.
#Testing & Quality Assurance
Prepare and execute unit, system, and UAT test cases for data migration.
Resolve data quality issues and perform root cause analysis on discrepancies.
Support mock migration runs and final cutover execution.
#Performance Optimization
Tune ETL jobs, queries, and database structures for optimal load performance.
Design incremental or delta data migration processes.
