Position Description:
• Understanding the Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) based on product design specifications and changes.
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that the EBOM accurately reflects the product structure, components, and configurations as required by Manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve sync failures, data corruption, duplicate objects, and mappings; perform root-cause analysis and preventative measures.
• Collaborate with Product development, IT and manufacturing teams to understand and provide solution CAD sync concerns
• Define and document synchronization rules, attribute mappings, field transformations, and business logic for CAD and part data.
• Maintain a Dashboard to constantly monitor and improve the CAD sync quality
Skills Required:CAD, 3D Modeling, Data Migration, Troubleshooting (Problem Solving)
Experience Required:• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Automobile, Production or equivalent experience
. • 36 years experience working with CAD and PLM/PDM systems like Teamcenter, 3DX etc.
• Hands-on experience extracting, transforming, and loading CAD data including large assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
• Knowledge of CAD systems and file formats (Creo, CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, Inventor; STEP, JT, Parasolid).
• Solid understanding of part numbering strategies, lifecycle/release processes, and configuration management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, project management and communication skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
