Data Governance Functional Lead-Assistant Director

As a Data Governance Functional Lead at EY, you will be instrumental in leveraging the Mercury solution to drive value for the organization. Collaborating closely with stakeholders from MST IT, Business functions, the Mercury Program, and firm-wide Data Governance Stakeholders, your primary responsibility will be to implement data management metrics and enhancement strategies. Your success will be determined by achieving specific objectives related to data quality metrics and realizing cost reductions and business benefits through continuous improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of functional data stewards to design, implement, and enhance systems, tools, and solutions for the MST data governance function. - Manage hierarchies and governance processes to align with current business requirements, including conducting scheduled reviews and updates. - Provide expert knowledge by conducting research and leveraging acquired business insights. - Define and communicate data quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for master data attributes. - Explore, advocate, and suggest new applications and utilization of hierarchies, taxonomies, and governance processes. - Act as a contributor and subject matter expert in the collaborative assessment of new data designs and development. - Assess processes and procedures for compliance with organizational quality standards. - Offer input and guidance on master data and data quality standards and processes to business and solution teams. - Oversee the master data governance processes. - Develop and manage data profiling and monitoring queries, routines, and reports across all Master Data Management (MDM) systems to ensure a defined data quality standard for master data attributes. - Conduct audits and generate reports on data quality measures/KPIs for all systems to the business units. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience. - 10+ years of experience in data management and/or governance within a global professional services firm. - Understanding of the end-to-end data life cycle requirements for key business processes. - Direct experience in team management and budget oversight. - Certification in SAP products is a bonus. - Previous experience at EY or another Big 4 firm is preferred.,
