Data Engineering Specialist

The role of a Data Engineer is to build and unit test code for Projects and Programmes on Azure Cloud Data and Analytics Platform. Your key responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, creating designs, building and deploying data mappings, sessions, and workflows in the Azure Cloud Platform, with a primary focus on Azure Databricks. You will be expected to develop performant code, perform ETL routines performance tuning, troubleshooting, support, and capacity estimation. As a Data Engineer, you will conduct thorough testing of ETL code changes to ensure quality deliverables and provide day-to-day support and mentoring to end users interacting with the data. It will be essential for you to profile and understand large amounts of source data, including structured and semi-structured/web activity data, analyze defects, provide fixes, and prepare release notes for deployments. Additionally, you will support release activities, demonstrate a problem-solving attitude, and stay updated with new skills to develop technology skills in other areas of the Platform. You are expected to understand how FCA Conduct Rules apply to you as an employee of the organization and specifically to this role. It is important to be familiar with RSA's Conduct Framework, understand how it applies to your role, and consistently demonstrate the behaviors and actions required to deliver good customer outcomes. In terms of functional and technical skills, the ideal candidate should have experience in ETL tools and data projects, recent experience with Azure Data Bricks (Python/SQL), good knowledge of SQL and Python, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with Azure DevOps. Experience with Azure Databricks, Logic Apps, Python programming, and Azure Functions would be highly desirable.
