Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated

Data Engineer

to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines, working with large-scale distributed systems, and enabling efficient data access for analytics and business intelligence. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting-edge big data technologies and make a meaningful impact on our data-driven initiatives.

Location: Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Scala and Apache Spark
Build and manage distributed data processing systems to handle large-scale data workloads efficiently
Develop and optimize Hive queries and data models to support analytical and reporting use cases
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to deliver robust data solutions
Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across various data sources and platforms
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of data pipelines
Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in the evaluation of new tools and technologies
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and uphold best practices in data engineering
Required Skills and Qualification:
24 years of hands-on experience in data engineering
Proficiency in Scala and Java programming languages
Strong experience with Apache Spark for distributed data processing
Expertise in Hive and SQL for data querying, transformation, and modeling
Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem and data lake architectures
Understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related technical field
Good to Have Skills:
Proactive and collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, agile environments
