Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

Data Engineering Manager

Preferred candidate profile:

Lead and manage a team of
data engineers
to design, build, and optimize
ETL pipelines
using
AWS Glue, PySpark, and SQL
.
Develop and maintain
data lakes, data mesh, and data warehouse architectures
on AWS (Redshift, S3, Athena, etc.).
Implement and manage
AWS services
such as
Glue, Redshift, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and IAM
.
Drive
data ingestion, transformation, and integration
across multiple data sources to enable analytics and reporting.
Oversee deployment automation using
Terraform
and monitor workflows using
Apache Airflow
.
Ensure best practices for
security, scalability, and cost optimization
within AWS environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Science, BI, Product, and Infrastructure) to align data solutions with business goals.
Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder expectations using
Agile/Project Management
methodologies.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to the engineering team.
Monitor system performance, implement
CloudWatch alerts
, and ensure high data availability and reliability.
Define and enforce
governance standards, coding practices, and documentation
for all data engineering processes.
