Role SummaryAs a Data Engineer, you will support the delivery of reliable data integrations from internal and external sources into the enterprise data warehouse. You will design and develop ETL/ELT components, enhance existing solutions, and ensure accurate and timely data delivery to downstream systems. This role offers the opportunity to grow your skills while contributing to the evolution of a scalable enterprise data platform.What you will doTranslate business and data requirements into technical solutions, designing and developing ETL componentsBuild and maintain ETL pipelines usingMatillionand related orchestration toolsFollow best practices for ETL/ELT development and contribute to continuous improvementMonitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues using available toolsWrite and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures to support data loading and transformationsCollaborate with Business Analysts and Technical Architects to clarify requirements and propose improvementsSupport the ongoing development of a scalable enterprise data warehouseAssist in managing development, test, and production environmentsWork with the DevOps team on release activities and prepare supporting documentationParticipate in peer code reviews to maintain quality standardsSupport testing and UAT activities for data-related deliverablesProvide on-call support for incidents on a rotational basisAssist with routine maintenance, performance tuning, and ongoing support of ETL processes and the data warehouse environmentWhat you will bring3+ years of IT experience, with a focus on ETL development in an enterprise environmentKnowledge of ETL design methodologies including performance tuning, monitoring, and alertingHands-on experience with Matillion ETLExperience extracting and integrating data via APIsStrong SQL skills, including stored procedures and query optimizationUnderstanding of relational and dimensional data modeling techniquesExperience working with at least one cloud data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake or AWS Redshift)Familiarity with release processes and working across multiple environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to manage workload effectivelyExcellent communication and collaboration skillsWillingness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologiesDesirable:Exposure to Python for data processing or automationFamiliarity with AI tools for building or enhancing data pipelinesAwareness of Generative AI applications for data analysis (e.g., Snowflake Cortex)Exposure to data quality frameworks and rule implementation
