Job Description

Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using
DBT
,
Python
, and
AWS services
(Lambda, Glue, S3, etc.).
Manage and optimize Snowflake data warehouse environments, including performance tuning, data modeling, and access control.
Integrate data from
Charles River
,
Everest
, and other financial platforms into the centralized data infrastructure.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, models, and integrations.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all stages of the data lifecycle.
Monitor and troubleshoot production data workflows to ensure reliability and availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

5+ years
of experience in a data engineering or similar role.
Proficiency with
Python
for data processing and scripting.
Strong experience with
AWS data services
such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, etc.
Expertise in
Snowflake
data warehouse, including SnowSQL, performance tuning, and secure data sharing.
Hands-on experience with
DBT
(Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
Familiarity or experience with
Charles River Investment Management System (CRIMS)
and
Everest
(or similar asset management systems).
Solid understanding of
SQL
, relational databases, and modern data architecture.
Experience working in
Agile
development environments and using
CI/CD
pipelines for data deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

Background in
Asset Management

Investment Operations
, or
Financial Services
.
Experience integrating data from market data providers, custodians, or portfolio accounting systems.
Understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, SEC).
