As a Senior - Data Engineer at EY, you will lead the delivery of solutions or infrastructure development services for a large or more complex project, utilizing advanced technical capabilities. You will take accountability for the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of solutions or infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and aligning with business and user requirements from both a business and technical perspective. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing Data Ingestion and Transformation components to support business requirements. You should be proficient in processing heterogeneous source data formats such as excels, CSV, TXT, PDF, databases, and web data, and conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), handling outliers, data cleansing, and transformation. Strong data-driven skills are essential for writing complex data transformation programs using PySpark, Databricks, and Python. Additionally, experience in data integration and processing using Spark and Python is required, along with hands-on experience in performance tuning techniques to optimize data pipelines. You will provide advanced technical expertise to enhance efficiency, reliability, and value from existing solutions, infrastructure, and emerging technologies, demonstrating technical leadership and driving continuous improvement. Collaboration with Development leads in an agile methodology is essential, as well as building strong working relationships with peers across Development & Engineering and Architecture teams to engineer leading solutions. The ideal candidate should possess 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Big Data Technologies and distributed systems computing, with a strong background in Azure Databricks, Python, Spark, and PySpark. Proficiency in SQL, RESTful API, and JSON is required, along with experience in Azure Cloud resources. Familiarity with Angular is advantageous, and exposure to noSQL Databases such as MongoDB and Cosmos DB is a plus.
