Job Description

Advanced SQL Proficiency:
This is a non-negotiable skill. Candidates should be able to write and optimize complex queries, including joins, subqueries, and window functions.
Data Warehousing and Data Modeling:
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, such as dimensional modeling (star and snowflake schemas), and the ability to design efficient data models tailored to Snowflake's architecture.
ETL/ELT Processes:
Experience with ETL/ELT tools and processes to manage data ingestion and transformation.
Cloud Computing:
Since Snowflake is cloud-native, familiarity with major cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential.
Scripting Languages:
Proficiency in languages like
Python
or
JavaScript
is often required for scripting, automation, and building data pipelines with features like Snowpark.
Snowflake-Specific Features:
Hands-on experience with core Snowflake features such as virtual warehouses, Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Zero-Copy Cloning.

Soft Skills:

Problem-Solving:
The ability to troubleshoot data-related issues and find innovative solutions.
Communication:
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical teams and to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Attention to Detail:
Meticulous attention to data quality, integrity, and security.

The ability to analyze complex data patterns and optimize data storage and retrieval.
