Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Database & Infrastructure Advisor with deep expertise in SQL Server and Oracle databases, and working knowledge of MongoDB (optional).
The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor in guiding customers through critical infrastructure decisions, focusing on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Observability tools, Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, and Google Cloud VMware Engine (GCVE).
This role is predominantly advisory, requiring strong architectural insight and practical experience in helping enterprises plan and execute cloud migration strategies.
You will work directly with customer technical teams and senior stakeholders to assess current-state infrastructure, recommend best-fit GCP services, and guide the migration and modernization journey.
A major part of your role will involve advising on high availability, data replication, backup configurations, and observability frameworks using native GCP tools.
You will provide governance and best practices for deploying SQL Server and Oracle workloads on GCP, ensuring performance, security, and scalability in both hybrid and fully cloud-native environments.
Experience with GCVE is highly desirable, as you will be expected to offer guidance on VMware-based migration paths and workloads, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption during cloud transitions.
Your insights will help customers align infrastructure decisions with their business continuity and compliance requirements.
Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A background in cloud advisory or enterprise IT consulting is highly preferred.
