Job Description

As a Data Engineer at the company, your primary role will involve utilizing your skills in HTML, JavaScript, and either Python or Ruby. You will be responsible for working with large data sets, writing high-load scripts, and collecting data from various sources on the internet. After undergoing an intensive 4-6 week training, you will be equipped with the necessary operational skills to effectively work with the crawling system and tackle day-to-day challenges. Key Responsibilities: - Work with large data sets using various DBMS such as MySQL and Cassandra - Write high-load scripts for collecting and processing large amounts of data - Collect data from both publicly available sources and private channels of clients - Remote into Linux servers to execute jobs using console utilities and scripts - Validate and customize collected data based on customer requirements - Participate in the design and development of internal tools and processes for automation Qualifications Required: - Proficiency in SQL for writing simple queries with subqueries or joining tables - Knowledge of Ruby syntax, basic data structures, working with classes/modules, and handling files (CSV, XML, Excel, JSON) - Understanding of any OOP programming language - Basic knowledge of Xpath, regular expressions, HTML, JavaScript - Familiarity with the HTTP protocol including cookies, headers, and status codes - Ability to use developer tools like Firebug and Google Chrome dev tools - Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written) - Willingness and ability to learn independently - Flexibility to work in shifts to maximize overlap with Easter European teams,
