Data Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time, remote role for a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data systems. Day-to-day tasks include:

• Building and maintaining ETL pipelines
• Working on data modeling and data warehousing
• Supporting analytics through clean and reliable data flows

Work Arrangement

• Canadian client
• Working hours: 3 PM – 11 PM IST or 6 PM – 2 AM IST (flexible options)
• This role is open to working professionals who are already in a remote job.
• Work will not be monitored during IST hours; expectation is to progress daily tasks and provide updates in standup meetings.
• Compensation Note: No PF (Provident Fund) deductions. All applicable taxes will be taken care by the company.
• Compensation: ₹50,000 – ₹70,000 in hand per month (based on experience)

Required Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, PySpark
• Experience with Azure and Databricks

Good to Have

• Knowledge of data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, ADF)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Understanding of CI/CD for data pipelines
• Exposure to big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Kafka)

Qualifications

• Experience: 2.5 to 5 years in Data Engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
