Job Description

Senior Data Engineer

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end migration of Alteryx workflows into robust ADF pipelines
Migrate legacy SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database with minimal disruption
Architect and implement secure, scalable, and high-performance data pipelines using Azure tools
Design cloud-native data models to support analytics, reporting, and enterprise data architecture
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into optimized data solutions
Ensure data integrity through validation, reconciliation, and quality checks post-migration
Tune performance of Azure SQL databases and ADF pipelines for efficiency and scalability
Document architecture, migration strategies, and best practices for future reference
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects

What You Bring

Bachelors or masters in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
4+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and cloud data platforms
Deep expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, and Alteryx
Strong command of SQL, Python, and/or PowerShell for scripting and automation
Hands-on experience with Azure services: Blob Storage, Key Vault, Synapse, Logic Apps
Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills

Bonus Skills

Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure
Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI
Exposure to PySpark, PL/SQL, and other big data technologies
