Data Consultant

As an experienced Big Data & Azure Engineer joining the data platform team, you will play a critical role in optimizing enterprise-scale data infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing migrations from on-premises Big Data systems to Azure cloud services, ensuring seamless 24x7 production operations, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in both traditional Big Data technologies such as Hive and Impala, as well as hands-on experience with Azure services including Network, VMs, Synapse, and Databricks. Additionally, proficiency in query tuning and performance optimization will be necessary to excel in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Manage migrations from on-premises Big Data systems to Azure cloud services - Ensure seamless 24x7 production operations - Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to data infrastructure - Optimize query performance through tuning and other optimization techniques - Implement data migration strategies and best practices - Provide support in incident management and production support processes Qualifications Required: - Strong experience in Big Data technologies such as Hive and Impala - Hands-on experience with Azure services like Network, VMs, Synapse, and Databricks - Proficiency in query tuning and performance optimization - Knowledge of data migration strategies and best practices - Familiarity with production support processes and incident management In this role, you will need to have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities along with strong communication skills to effectively handle user requests.
