Data Center Hardware Engineer

As a skilled and experienced Data Center Hardware Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data center hardware solutions. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure, and providing technical support to other teams as needed. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining data center hardware solutions to meet performance and scalability requirements. This will involve working closely with capacity planning teams to assess hardware needs and plan for future expansion. Additionally, you will monitor and optimize server and network performance to ensure efficient operations. Regular preventive maintenance on data center hardware components will be part of your routine, along with identifying and resolving hardware-related issues promptly to minimize downtime. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of hardware configurations, installations, and maintenance procedures. Collaboration with other IT teams is essential to ensure seamless integration of hardware with software and network systems. You will also be expected to implement and enforce security best practices for data center hardware and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data center operations. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with proven experience as a Data Center Hardware Engineer or in a similar role. In-depth knowledge of data center hardware architecture, virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and strong troubleshooting skills are required. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also essential, along with relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+ or Cisco CCNA. Preferred skills include experience with hardware monitoring and management tools, knowledge of data center cooling and power distribution systems, and familiarity with industry trends and emerging technologies in data center hardware. This position is based in Mumbai (Panvel) and involves working shifts in the morning, afternoon, and night.
