Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Fabric Automation Platforms

• Deploy, operate, and optimize

  Nokia FSS

   and

  Cisco NDFC

   for data center fabric lifecycle management (Day-0/1/2+).
• Use

  intent-based networking

   to design, validate, and roll out fabric policies across SR Linux (Nokia) and Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Kubernetes & Cloud-Native Infrastructure

• Manage Kubernetes clusters hosting FSS/NDFC services.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and upgrades of microservices and supporting components.
• Integrate observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK) for health monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Network Fabric Integration

• Work with

  EVPN, BGP, VXLAN

   to ensure underlay/overlay fabric connectivity.
• Validate workloads and fabric changes using Nokias

  Digital Sandbox

   and Cisco’s

  What-If Analysis / Assurance tools

  .

• Automation & CI/CD

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm) for consistent provisioning.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for microservice upgrades, fabric configuration rollouts, and regression testing.

• Operations & Security

• Manage Day-2+ operations, upgrades, patches, and troubleshooting for both FSS and NDFC.
• Enforce RBAC, policy-based access, and secure integration with enterprise identity systems.

• Collaboration & Documentation

• Partner with platform, network, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Produce runbooks, SOPs, and architectural documentation.
• Mentor peers in automation and fabric lifecycle best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education:

   Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.

• Experience:

• 5–10 years in data center networking and automation.
• 3+ years with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Hands-on with

  either Nokia FSS or Cisco NDFC (both preferred)

  .

• Technical Skills:

• Strong in

  Kubernetes operations

   (clusters, CNI, storage, upgrades).
• Familiar with

  data center fabric technologies

   (EVPN, VXLAN, BGP).
• Expertise in

  IaC tools

   (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
• Knowledge of

  microservices, REST APIs, and automation pipelines

  .
• Good programming/scripting in

  Python, Go, or Shell

  .

• Certifications (Preferred):

• CKA/CKAD (Kubernetes), Cisco DC certifications (DCNM/NDFC), Nokia Nuage/NFM-P, or Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Soft Skills:

• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation ability.
• Team-player with ownership of deliverables.
