1. Job Summary Analysis / Overview
Role: Data Analyst – Advanced Analytics & Big Data

Team/Domain: Advanced Analytics & Big Data team, supporting product development

Contract Type: Long-term

Scope: Generate insights for data-driven decisions in product development using systematic data analysis. Identify suitable problem statements, develop solutions, and support vehicle development programs in an international environment. The work includes
descriptive statistics, exploratory data analysis (EDA), and inferential statistics. Industry Domain: This is an automobile manufacturing company and the business domains are R&D, Manufacturing, After Sales, Logistics and Supply Chain, Quality, etc.)
Role is focused within the Buses team, a small (~5 people) analytics group supporting R&D, quality, aftersales, and manufacturing. The data analyst will bridge gaps between data scientists and engineers, with emphasis on governance, best practices, and platform/toolrecommendationsTechnologies/Context: Artificial intelligence (ML and GenAI), cloud computing, agile software development; large datasets; SQL, Python, Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift; Databricks; Power BI.

2. Must-Haves
Technical / Functional Skills:

5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, and/or data architecture
Strong expertise in SQL and Python
Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI

Expereince with distributed data systems such as Hadoop, Spark

Experience with Cloud platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift
ETL/ELT pipelines (Apache Spark, Airflow, dbt)

APIs and data services for real-time and batch processing

Familiar with data governance, security, and compliance frameworks

Perform descriptive statistics, EDA, and inferential statistics

Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performance data architectures (data lakes, warehouses, real-time pipelines)

Understanding of APIs and how applications connect to AI engines (e.g., Truck API platform). Deep API development experience not required.

Work Arrangement and Hours
Location: Onsite in Whitefield, Bangalore
WFH Policy: Up to 6 WFH days/month
Work Hours: ~160 hours/month; ~8 hrs/day. Most meetings 9:00–9:30 AM IST; wrap ~5:00 PM IST

Ideal Candidate Profile

Bangalore-based, long-term contract oriented

5+ years of experience in data analysis/engineering/architecture

Strong SQL, Python, Hadoop/Spark, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI

Experience in automotive/manufacturing/supply chain/R&D domains

Strong English communication skills, proactive, positive, and collaborative

Not overly senior — practical, detail-oriented, hands-on contributor
