Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Bengaluru (Hybrid – Preferred) / Remote
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Salary: ₹1,10,000 Per Month ( Take Home)
Shift Requirement: Must overlap US hours until at least 1:00 AM IST

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Architect who can drive data warehouse and lakehouse initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality data architecture delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Azure data components, proven experience in end-to-end implementations, and the ability to work effectively across both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Data Warehouse and Data Lakehouse projects.
• Translate business requirements into conceptual and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with source system experts to finalize ETL and analytics designs.
• Support data modelers and developers in ETL design and development.
• Create detailed activity plans and track deliverables against agreed timelines.
• Manage environment setup, capacity planning, and deployment strategies in Azure.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency and sustainability (Green Cloud Computing).
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and guide decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Data Warehouse / Lakehouse programming.
• Successfully implemented at least 2 end-to-end Data Warehouse / Data Lake projects.
• Hands-on experience delivering at least 1 Azure Data Warehouse / Lakehouse project end-to-end.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure components: Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Key Vault, MS Fabric, Azure DevOps (ADO), Virtual Networks (VNets).
• Proficient in Medallion Architecture for Lakehouses and data modeling in the Gold layer.
• In-depth knowledge of Data Warehouse design principles (star schema, snowflake schema, data partitioning).
• Extensive experience with MS SQL Database (packages, stored procedures, triggers, functions, data transformations).
• Good knowledge of SQL Loader, Data Pump, Import/Export utilities.
• Strong focus on performance tuning.
• Experience with BI & visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Capacity Planning & Environment Management

• Proven track record in environment setup and deployment strategies within Azure.
• Experience with cloud cloning/copying for development, testing, and production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
• Experience in cost/benefit analysis and demand estimation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
