Data Analytics

The sub-domain lead is responsible for managing the Data & Visualisation and leading the horizontal Data Analyst teams in delivering the strategic data platform across BI & Analytics for Wealth & Retail Banking client segments. This role is open to candidates in KL/Bangalore as well. You will lead Project Managers and Data Analysts who work with data generated by clients and internal users to create data products that directly serve the community better and enable a data-driven culture and decision-making process internally. Your role is critical in meeting the increasing expectations of clients for an always-on, personalized, and seamless banking experience driven by large-scale digitization across industries. You will partner with business and technology teams to define the strategy and vision for the bank's data platform. Your responsibilities will include designing, engineering, and implementing schemas, tooling, and pipelines, as well as leading teams in delivering this agenda. As the sub-domain lead, you will champion data accuracy, quality, availability, usability, and impact. Collaboration with Product Owners across BI & Analytics, Marketing technologies, Open Banking, and Partnerships will be crucial to fully build and integrate solutions that achieve and exceed business goals. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that data capabilities are well integrated with internal and external hybrid ecosystems, deploying a combination of batch and real-time interfaces over file and API-based ingestion and consumption while incorporating necessary cybersecurity controls and managing them comprehensively from a risk and controls standpoint. This foundational engineering work will be key to differentiating the organization in this digital age. You will need to have a growth mindset to lead the data analysis team and eventually unify data infrastructure, platforms, and products for the Wealth & Retail Banking segment. Your role will involve empowering the team to deliver and acting as a servant leader who believes that their job is to service the team effectively. In terms of qualifications and experience, you should have at least 15 years of relevant experience as a hands-on senior data engineering leader. You should have a successful track record of developing and leading data teams and be familiar with open-source data products, query optimization, resource management, and data lake/warehouse constructs across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. International exposure and the ability to handle cultural diversity are essential for this role.
