Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced and engaging Data Analytics Instructor to deliver high-quality training to aspiring data analysts. You will leverage your industry experience and communication skills to equip students with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed in entry-level data analyst roles. Prior teaching experience, especially within the EdTech sector, is highly valued.

Key Deliverables

• Deliver comprehensive and engaging data analytics training sessions covering Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Provide students with practical, real-world examples and problem-solving exercises to enhance their understanding of key concepts.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
• Maintain readily available support Monday-Sunday 8-11PM to answer student questions in a timely manner..
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data analytics.

Essential Requirements

• Must have prior experience teaching data analytics, ideally within an EdTech company.
• Must currently be employed full-time as an analyst (or similar role) at a product-based company.
• Must be available every day of the week from 8-11 p.m. (classes will not be all 7 days, but availability is required).

Skills

• Must-Have Skills
• Technical: Proficiency in SQL (querying, data manipulation), Power BI (data visualization, dashboard creation), and Excel (data analysis, modeling).
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of data analysis principles, statistical concepts, and data warehousing concepts.
• Behavioral & Interpersonal: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to guide students through complex data analysis challenges.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Advanced Technical: Experience with other data analytics tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, ML).
• Additional Certifications: Relevant certifications in data analytics or related fields.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: Experience working with product teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
• Leadership Traits: Ability to motivate and inspire students to learn and grow.
• Continuous Improvement: A commitment to continuously improving the curriculum and teaching methods.

Additional Information

• This is a freelance position with an hourly payout structure.
• Classes will be scheduled based on student demand. However there will be a fixed schedule.
• Instructors will receive onboarding and training on our platform and teaching methodologies.
• Please note that the classes will not be all 7 days of the week; we just require the availability.
