Data Analyst

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development and delivery of data analytics solutions to drive business outcomes and process improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (IT, Academics, Sales, Finance, Operations etc.) to understand analytical needs and translate them into scalable data solutions.
• Manage end-to-end data lifecycle from extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) to visualization and reporting.
• Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs and scorecards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Apply statistical, predictive and prescriptive analytics to identify trends, forecast outcomes and support strategic planning.
• Ensure data access, security, accuracy, integrity and governance across all data systems.
• Train and guide cross functional team, fostering a culture of analytical excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure data-driven KPIs for performance monitoring.
• Communicate insights effectively through presentations, reports and visual storytelling.

Preferred candidate profile

• Technical Expertise:

• Strong command of SQL, Python (or R) for data analysis and automation.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense.
• Experience with data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.).
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Working knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.

• Analytical & Business Skills:

• Strong business acumen and ability to link data insights to business strategy.
• Proven experience in storytelling with data and executive-level reporting.
• Expertise in KPI design, performance analysis, and trend forecasting.

• Leadership & Communication:

• Experience leading analytics teams or managing analytical projects.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver in fast-paced environments.
