Classical dance teacher - Bharatnatyam CBSE school in Mugalivakkam Part time / twice a week Here is a Job Description for a Classical Dance Teacher in a school setting: Job Title: Classical Dance Teacher Department: Performing Arts Location: School Campus Reports To: Head of Arts Department / Principal Job Responsibilities: Teach Classical Dance Forms: Instruct students in classical dance styles such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, or others based on expertise. Prepare Lesson Plans: Design structured and age-appropriate lessons aligned with school curriculum and cultural objectives. Choreograph Performances: Create and rehearse routines for school events, competitions, and annual functions. Evaluate Student Progress: Monitor student development, provide feedback, and assess performance through practicals and theory if required. Promote Cultural Awareness: Educate students about the historical and cultural background of classical dance forms. Organize Workshops & Guest Sessions: Invite professional dancers and conduct workshops to enhance exposure. Maintain Discipline & Safety: Ensure student safety during classes and maintain decorum in the dance room.
