About the role
The ideal Dance Teacher will have experience teaching diverse dance styles, fostering artistic expression, and working with students from multicultural backgrounds. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, preparing students for performances, and contributing to a holistic arts curriculum.
What you will be doing
1.Plan and deliver high-quality dance lessons across grade levels (primary to secondary).
2.Teach multiple dance forms such as contemporary, classical, hip-hop, jazz, folk, and world dance styles.
3.Develop appropriate age curricula aligned with international school standards.
4.Prepare students for annual concerts, cultural events, competitions, and assemblies.
5.Choreograph group and solo performances for school events.
6.Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to support development.
7.Maintain an inclusive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
8.Collaborate with the Performing Arts team to integrate cross-curricular learning.
9.Organize workshops, guest classes, and enrichment programs.
10.Ensure proper care and use of dance studio equipment and spaces.
11.Participate actively in school meetings, professional development, and parent interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in dance, Performing Arts, or a related field.
Professional training or certification in one or more dance styles.
Prior experience teaching in an international or CBSE/IB/IGCSE school environment preferred.
Strong choreographic skills and stage management experience.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for teaching and inspiring young learners.
Experience: 2-5 years in the same position.
