Job Summary:

The Dance Teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting dance classes for students in alignment with CBSE guidelines and the school’s co-scholastic framework. The teacher should be proficient in various dance forms and capable of nurturing students’ artistic talents while promoting cultural awareness, discipline, and confidence through dance education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver structured dance lessons to students across different classes as per the CBSE curriculum.
• Teach and train students in diverse dance forms, including Indian classical, folk, contemporary, and western styles.
• Prepare and choreograph performances for school events, assemblies, annual functions, and inter-school competitions.
• Encourage participation in CBSE and other cultural competitions at zonal, state, and national levels.
• Collaborate with the music and art departments for integrated cultural programs.
• Evaluate and record students’ progress, participation, and performance in dance activities.
• Maintain discipline and ensure safety during practice sessions and rehearsals.
• Instill a sense of appreciation for performing arts and promote teamwork among students.
• Assist in organizing workshops, cultural events, and dance appreciation sessions.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Performing Arts (Dance) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Diploma or certification in Indian classical, folk, or western dance forms (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.
