General Summary:

Description
At Qualcomm CSE/Foundries we have created an open-source software platform using the latest industry practices and standards throughout so that product developers can build on a common software base. We intend to reinvent IoT and Edge device software development with our FoundriesFactory cloud service, and our goal is cross-industry adoption without lock-in.To accomplish this, we use industry standards, open-source technologies, and a new business model to disrupt the status quo of the fragmented IoT device market.Were seeking a customer-facing software engineer with embedded Linux experience.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with a range of technologies from boot software and the Linux kernel to Docker and IoT/Edge cloud services, have customer management experience, and be able to work in an environment with high levels of customer engineer interaction.
This is an excellent opportunity to impact how devices are updated and managed worldwidegreatly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

    Key Objectives

    Deliver customer success through their use of FoundriesFactory.Serve as a primary contact for onboarding new customers via Jira Ticket Managementand/or Video-conferencing.Collaborate closely with the customer and the Foundries.io engineering team to solvecustomer technical issues and questions related to the FoundriesFactory softwarestack.Provide insights to customers and prospects on how to get value from FoundriesFactory.Provide feedback to the engineering team on customers requirements, requestedproduct features, and improvements.Be the primary day-to-day contact for multiple customers engineering teams as theyonboard and use the Foundries Factory service through their product development,deployment, and maintenance life-cycle.Provide feedback and improvements on the product documentation.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical fieldIdeally, 1-6 years of experience in customer technical support, account management, oranother customer-facing role.Experience with Jira Ticket Management.Experience with Linux Container (preferentially Docker/Docker compose ).Experience with Git.Experience with Bash Scripting and/or Python or other scripting languages.Experience with Embedded Linux (operating systems, security, BSPs, open sourcesoftware).Experience with Technical documentation is a plus.Direct experience with device security is a plus.Experience with REST API and PKI is a plus.Must be able to work remotely and effectively with an international team (the team isspread across EMEA LATAM North America).Good communication skills written and spoken (English).ApproachStart-up or scale-up experience and be self-sufficient and strongly motivatedThrive in a fast-moving work environment where you mostly interact remotely with yourcolleagues.Location Hyderabad; hours of work-oriented to EMEA timezone.
