Cupola Furnace helper

Role

Furnace operators are responsible for a wide range of tasks. They operate and maintain heat-treating equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct routine cleaning. They also monitor equipment operation to ensure quality products and detect deviations from standards. In addition, they calculate raw material additions to furnace in conjunction with the shift In charge

Responsibilities

· Lead and coordinate team in all aspects of operation in Cupola furnace.

· Maintain safety measures and PPE.

· use math skills to determine next amount to be added

· Function as a viable member of the furnace team

· Conduct preventive and general maintenance on furnace hardware including

· Troubleshoot equipment and system abnormalities

· Operate plan/equipment following safe operating instructions

· Follow Health and Safety and Environmental procedures

· Comply with quality system requirements

· Assist Supervisor in managing production schedule and take ownership of a work zone

Requirements

· Ability to work in areas requiring safety harnesses (heights) and confined spaces

· Must be flexible with work schedule and be available for overtime and weekends

· Work on tasks outside of the job description as directed by Management and/or Lead Operators for training, emergency relief purposes, production needs or continuous improvements

· 2-3 years’ experience operating heat treating / casting system

· Must perform all routine furnace maintenance functions

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

· Must be able to stand for long hours during the shift

· Keep work area in a clean, orderly, and safe working condition and follow all safety rules

Qualifications and skills

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field

· Understanding of safety procedures and protocols

· Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects

· The ability to work well with others

· Team player - steps in to assist when and where as needed

· Dependable - comes to work on time and completes tasks in a timely and safe manner

· Hospitable - provides a friendly face, welcoming environment, and is appreciative of coworkers

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11,716.78 - ₹31,013.26 per month
