Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and responsible CSSD Technician to carry out the sterilization, disinfection, and preparation of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of infection control protocols and must ensure proper handling and availability of sterile instruments as per hospital standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments, trays, and other reusable medical equipment.
• Operate and monitor autoclaves, ETO machines, and other sterilization equipment.
• Pack and label sterile items following protocols and expiry norms.
• Maintain logs and records of sterilization processes and equipment checks.
• Ensure sterile supplies are delivered to Operation Theatres, ICUs, and wards as needed.
• Follow infection control practices, PPE usage, and waste disposal protocols.
• Monitor sterilization indicators and report any malfunction or deviation.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the CSSD area.
• Coordinate with OT, ICU, and nursing teams for instrument needs.
• Assist in audits and ensure compliance with NABH guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in CSSD Technology or relevant paramedical qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in a hospital CSSD (preferred).
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques (Steam, ETO, Plasma).
• Attention to detail, hygiene consciousness, and good communication skills.
• Familiarity with NABH standards is an advantage.
