Job Description

Role Overview: Working with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM) offers you the opportunity to partner with one of the world's leading third-party ship managers. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain and monitor crew claim information and records - Communicate with the P & I club/correspondent and provide necessary details - Coordinate repatriation with the concerned FPO/MPO - Arrange and follow up on post-repatriation check-ups - Capture and calculate various expenses including port expenses, medical costs, sick wages, and reliever expenses - Collate expense documents and forward them to accounts for recovery from owners - Arrange disbursement of sick wages - Handle death and disability claims, including communication with P & I Club/Owners for compensation - Assist in completing legal formalities related to settlement of compensation Qualification Required: - University degree in Insurance or Accounting - Minimum 3-4 years of experience in handling Insurance claims - Understanding of insurance processes, including Clubs and Underwriters - Knowledge of Crew Bargaining Agreements and associated benefits Additional Company Details: BSM offers career development opportunities, technical and soft skills training, comprehensive health insurance coverage, annual performance bonuses, and a diverse workforce.
