Credit Analyst/Senior Credit Analyst - Corporates

The role of a Senior Credit Analyst in Corporates involves supporting S&P primary analysts across different regions in arriving at and monitoring credit ratings for various industries. This includes analyzing business and financial performance, industry dynamics, regulatory trends, country and macroeconomic risks, competitive positioning, financial ratios, liquidity factors, and capital structures. The Senior Credit Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial models, internal credit research reports, and publishable credit reports, while adhering to defined processes and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. Client and stakeholder management are integral parts of the role, requiring the Senior Credit Analyst to build and maintain relationships with the S&P team, manage client expectations, and provide analytical mentoring to junior team members. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in analyzing company financial and operational performance, possess excellent communication skills, demonstrate sharp analytical thinking, understand industry risks and competitive forces, and have a positive attitude towards teamwork and innovation. Additionally, the candidate should be open to new ideas, capable of building client relations, and able to work under pressure. Essential qualifications for this role include a two years full-time MBA in Finance or equivalent, or a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification. Preferred qualifications include similar educational backgrounds in finance or accounting.
