Job Description

As a Colorist at NxtWave, your role is crucial in defining the visual tone and color language across a variety of content, ranging from premium educational videos to product explainers. You will bring your expertise in color science and visual storytelling to ensure every frame meets the highest cinematic standards, enhancing the learner's experience and reinforcing the brand's visual excellence. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform color correction and grading on footage shot in S-Log/RAW profiles, ensuring visually consistent results. - Develop and maintain a cohesive color palette aligned with each project's narrative, mood, and branding. - Create custom LUTs and grading templates for consistent use across different content formats. - Collaborate with cinematographers and editors to maximize grading flexibility and efficiency. - Conduct QC checks on final outputs to maintain color accuracy and consistency. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Colorist in films, commercials, or branded content. - Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve Studio, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or other NLEs. - Deep understanding of color theory, color spaces, LUTs, scopes, and color calibration. - Experience working with various camera brands like Sony FX, Canon Cinema, Blackmagic, and RED. - Strong attention to detail, consistency, and technical accuracy. - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with directors, DOPs, and editors.
