Cost Value Engineering Expert - Battery Storage Electronics

As an Application Engineer at Siemens Energy, your role will be based in Pune with opportunities to travel to various locations in India and beyond. You will be working with teams that are shaping the future of entire cities and countries. **Role Overview:** In this role, you will be responsible for implementing new Cost and Value Engineering methods and expertise to enhance the competitiveness and profitability of Siemens Energy business. Your tactical responsibilities will include achieving cost transparency for 3rd party scopes and delivering should cost analysis. Strategically, you will support the Design-to-Cost (DtC) process to ensure new products are designed efficiently while meeting quality targets. Your activities will involve innovation team leadership, design for manufacturing methodology leadership, and voice of the customer analysis. You will also be responsible for facilitating meetings at all levels of management. **Key Responsibilities:** - Improve competitiveness and profitability through Cost and Value Engineering methods - Achieve cost transparency for 3rd party scopes - Support the Design-to-Cost process for new product development - Deliver should cost analysis and identify the most cost-effective supplier offer - Collect new cost-out ideas for the Siemens Energy portfolio - Ensure accurate input of product CVE initiatives in relevant cost tracking software - Support proposals teams with relevant cost measures - Facilitate and participate in meetings at all levels of management **Qualifications Required:** - BE in Electronics (preferred) or BE in Electrical - Minimum 5 years of experience as an Application Engineer, Design Engineer, or similar in relevant fields - Proficiency in MS Office Suite - Knowledge of Innovative Design to Value, DtC, Customer Value, and Cost Analysis **Additional Details:** Siemens Energy's Transformation of Industry division focuses on decarbonizing the industrial sector by increasing electrification and efficiency.
