As a Cost and Value Engineering Professional at Siemens in Kalwa, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the competitiveness and profitability of products and solutions through the application of Cost and Value Engineering levers and methods. You will be part of the Siemens-wide CVE network, focusing on specific commodities within the assigned Division/BU. Your responsibilities will include: - Contributing expertise to the CVE network, focusing on certain commodities within the Division/BU - Maintaining knowledge about production technology and costing in specific material fields - Applying tools for Cost Analysis and Optimization, Supply Chain Productivity Improvement, and Design to Value along the PLM/PM process - Compiling feasible costs per component for target setting and proposing alternative manufacturing scenarios to Procurement functions - Calculating cost baselines and proposing Design to Cost measures to R&D and product management - Generating transparency in supplier processes, identifying improvement potentials, and coaching suppliers for optimization - Establishing cost and value models and design rules based on production processes, equipment, and related costs In this role, you will be responsible for creating and continuously improving cost models of manufacturing technologies and end products. You will collaborate with various functions such as R&D and product management to create and manage the required systems, transfer know-how to the CVE organization, and act as a key contact for expert software. Your tasks will involve identifying optimization and improvement potential in existing calculation processes, implementing automation solutions, and driving digitalization efforts. To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor's degree in business informatics, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, along with 12 to 15 years of professional experience in cost and value engineering. Proficiency in MS Office applications and product cost management tools is required, and knowledge of Python, SQL, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning is a plus. Strong presentation and communication skills in English are essential for interacting with global CVE/Siemens teams.
