Objective Primary responsibility will be on developing new product & strategy to manage/improve quality at contract manufacturing units , identifying and managing the technical risks. Should be able to provide technical direction to team members to achieve project objectives. Would need to interact with cross-functional teams to plan and execute product and process development projects from concept to commercialization in accordance with the given requirements. Must understand the properties & interactions between the ingredients, technological functions of additives for delivering new products. Oversee quality assurance efforts such as product quality/safety assurance and provide technical support to uplift Quality standard of CMUs, warehouse & retail outlets to advanced levels. Core Responsibilities: Function as internal subject matter expert for all food safety issues and QA trends relevant to unit/store/warehouse/supply chain. Develop products from concept to commercialization, as per assigned project brief and ensure that these products are suitable for manufacture and are stable throughout shelf life. Must have a deep understanding of interactions between ingredients, recipes and processes Understand consumer feedback/preferences & create products that resonate with the target audience Conduct & Supervise manufacturing/scale up trials during new product commercialization, including defining process controls, performing line validation & transferring technology engaging key stakeholders along the way. Effectively collaborate with cross functional team members and suppliers/vendors for vendor approval programs and material selection, review and approval. Protect & manage intellectual property related to product formulations Identify opportunities to reduce product cost without compromising quality Monitoring daily quality, process & food safety operations across multiple CMUs, warehouse & outlets. Collaborate/train cross-functional team & CMU/other staff for ensuring quality & food safety in the product & process eliminating complaints through RCA & developing strategy for improvement, automation & wastage reduction. Standardization of Q-Systems and processes across plants/stores/warehouses. Develop and ensure that implementation of food safety and monitoring programs meet corporate and regulatory standards. Oversee and monitor program implementation. Review quality control data, Provide direction for in-process, product testing, instrument calibration and environmental testing. Audit, develop and approve suppliers against the desired standards. Perform other duties as assigned by seniors
