Job Description

As a Corporate Counsel in the Office of Integrity and Compliance within the Legal Department, you will be responsible for providing legal expertise and guidance with 8 to 14 years of relevant experience in legal and compliance roles. Your primary focus will be on essential elements of the Corporate Compliance program, including monitoring risks, implementing mitigation strategies, and advising on compliance matters. Working closely with a team of highly skilled legal professionals, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing legal and compliance solutions for the business. Your responsibilities will include independent oversight of legal regulatory compliance, drafting and reviewing policies, SOPs, and guidance notes, as well as advising on data protection, privacy laws such as EU GDPR, incident management, and record retention. In addition, you will be involved in cyber security compliance, risk management, and interacting with external vendors to enhance resilience measures, incident response, and compliance with immigration laws across different regions like EU, APAC, and MEA. Your role will also entail reviewing policy documents related to business travel, work visa regulations, and reporting requirements. To qualify for this position, you should hold an LLB/LLM degree and have experience as a compliance counsel, preferably in multinational corporations. You must possess a strong understanding of regulations related to Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility. Demonstrated project management skills, the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and the capacity to resolve complex issues independently are essential. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills are crucial for this role, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive matters. This position is based in Bengaluru and requires a law degree as the preferred educational qualification, along with 8 to 14 years of overall work experience.,
