Corporate Bank Technology Core Banking & Payments Engineer, AVP

Role Overview: You will be working as a Technical Specialist within the Core banking Program, focusing on technical solutions, technical design, and code quality. Your responsibilities will include identifying the right solutions, conducting feasibility studies for technology migration and new requirement projects. Your role will involve software design, development, and production support. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare optimal software solutions and designs to meet business requirements - Ensure developed software code aligns with software design and business requirements - Address production issues, identify root causes, and provide workarounds - Ensure software code meets quality and performance standards - Follow software development best practices and conduct code reviews - Dive deep into the application design/architecture to provide technological insights - Assist in test case creation, integration testing, and automation for performance improvements - Manage scope of deliveries, communicate effectively with stakeholders, sponsors, and team members - Collaborate with multiple teams, including vendor partners, to deliver the best solutions - Mentor and motivate a team of software developers for their growth and development Qualifications Required: - 8+ years of experience in software development projects, with expertise in business analysis, development, design, maintenance, and improvement - Proficiency in COBOL, Linux scripting, Java (advantageous), and SQL development with optional Oracle expertise - Experience in production support, problem-solving, and root cause identification - Knowledge of Control-M, MQ Series, Kafka, and exposure to JMS - Strong analytical skills and expertise in structured analysis and design methodologies - Good communication skills, stakeholder management, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Passion for sharing knowledge, best practices, and working in virtual and matrix teams - Fluent in English (written/verbal) Company Details: Deutsche Bank Group strives to create a culture of empowerment, responsibility, commercial thinking, and collaboration.
