Core Oracle DBA

As a Core Oracle DBA - Database Admin Advisor at NTT DATA, your role will involve managing Oracle databases across various lifecycle environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Your responsibilities will include: - Configuring and maintaining database servers and processes - Database performance tuning - Planning, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-availability database environments such as RAC and Dataguard - Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time - Refining and automating processes for efficiency - Providing 24x7 support for critical production systems - Performing scheduled maintenance and release deployment activities - Sharing domain and technical expertise with team members - Working directly with end customers and technical resources To qualify for this role, you should have: - 10+ years of experience in Oracle 12.x/Above versions in an enterprise environment - Experience with Oracle Exadata systems - Proficiency in Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) - Knowledge of backups, restores, and recovery models - Familiarity with incident and problem queue management - Expertise in High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for Oracle - Experience working with Linux, Windows, and Unix servers - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and in a team - Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility - ITIL foundation and Total Quality Management experiences Nice to have skills include experience with scripting, SQL, PL/SQL, Exadata, OEM, logical DBA activities, complex query tuning, and schema refinement. Additionally, OCA, OCP, and/or OCM certifications would be a plus.
